As our on-staff endodontist in Beaverton, Dr. Farham often sees patients who are scared and in pain, thinking that

rewarding. Being an endodontist, Dr. Farham’s work isn’t flashy, but the work of preserving his

Why Did You Decide to Become an Endodontist?
Dr. Farham decided to become a dentist when he was 21 years old. He had always been drawn to healthcare because he
loves the idea of helping people in a hands-on and lasting way. Dentistry stood out to him as a profession because
it combines medicine, art, and precision, and he gets to see the impact of his work immediately. Whether it’s
relieving pain, restoring confidence, or preserving someone’s smile, the outcomes he’s able to achieve
are truly rewarding.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Farham attended Portland State University for his undergraduate degree and Oregon Health and Science University
for dental school. He then went on to finish a General Practice Residency at the VA in Portland as well as his
Endodontics and Microsurgery Residency at Penn Dental Medicine.
He continues to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the dental field by maintaining active membership
with the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, and the American Academy of Endodontists.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Farham’s hometown is Tehran, Vancouver, British Columbia, but he’s glad to call Oregon his home
alongside his wife, who is a pediatric dentist, and their two young children. When Dr. Farham isn’t doing root
canals, you can catch him admiring a fast car or planning his next family trip. He loves spending quality time with
his children and believes that nothing beats a good vacation!
The most interesting fact about Dr. Farham is that he spends his days performing microscopic, detail-oriented root
canals, but outside of the office he’s all about speed, adventure, and family. He goes from precision work
under the microscope to chasing his kids and watching cars on the weekend!
